My work as a crew boat operator takes me to many remote areas of the West Coast of B.C. where wind, tide, current and shore conditions can be unpredictable. I have an ever-present companion who watches over me as I travel and work in his domain. Sometimes he treats me to an awe-inspiring display of hunting or simply stretches his graceful wings to soar on a thermal. I’d like to pay tribute to my majestic companion through this portrait. This immature Bald Eagle will soon choose a mate and conquer the domain he was born to rule.

The eagle seems to be alive and you git the feeling that it will move if you only wait long enough.
